Nickie Holford grew up in London, moving first to Suffolk in the late 90’s before settling in Norfolk around 10 years ago where she currently lives and works.
Her fascination with colour, light, myths, fairy tales and legends influence her choice of subjects, alongside her background in technical theatre.
Though acrylic and oil are her main mediums, she uses whatever medium suits the mood or piece, and her toolkit includes watercolour, spray paint, graphite, acrylic inks and more! Nickie’s process is impulsive, instinctive, sometimes chaotic, and often emotional.
Nickie is a member of Easterly Artists, the Visual Artist’s Association (VAA), the Split Gutter Studio collective and Eastern Contemporary Artists.
